Dr. Alondra Velez was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007, followed by a one-year rotating internship in New York City.
After completing her internship, Dr. Velez gained diverse clinical experience in emergency medicine, shelter medicine, and in-home end-of-life care and hospice. She now practices in general medicine, where she continues to provide compassionate, comprehensive care to her patients.
Dr. Velez has a special fondness for Chihuahuas and Pugs, and she is particularly passionate about caring for senior pets and those with unique, “crunchy” personalities. She is also fully bilingual in English and Spanish, allowing her to better serve a broader community of pet owners.
