Dr. Richard Heffelman II is an Arizona native who was born in Tucson, but grew up in southern California. He returned to Arizona where he attended the University of Arizona for his undergrad education. He went to Colorado State University for his Veterinary degree in which his emphasis was small animal medicine. He met his wife at Colorado State University and together they went to Michigan so she could pursue her residency in Veterinary Radiology. After three years in the Mid-West they decided to head back to Arizona, where they have been residing for the last couple of years.
Dr. Heffelman has two cats and one corgi Named Quinn. He enjoys being outdoors and on his days off is usually either wandering around in the Superstition mountains or fishing on the many lakes of the Salt River chain.
